the latch was broken when I got it and didn't even get a chance to see if it worked.

I have used these bait buckets for years and they are easy to use and strong/dependable. I fish saltwater and primarily use the bucket to store minnows and spot or menhaden. I hang it on the side of my boat and sometimes forget to pull it up and drag it and the strenght of the molded handle does not give unless I go WOT. It doesn't always float right side up but as long as the door is latched it's no problem. I hang them off the pier overnight all the time with a good tide flow 18-24" rise and it's fine.

i purchased this item and used it last week while wade fishing. The bait bucket was difficult to get into while holding a pole in one hand. The lid became a nuisance the more times you opened it. also the weight on the bucket didn't seam right while floating on top of the water and would turnover at times loosing bait. Overall it didn't perform as well as the spring load type(FRA4501 - Trolling Frabill Minnow Bucket).......pay the additional money!
