Perfect storage for miniatures I don't actually fish at all. I grabbed this box to store all my miniatures. It does the job perfectly. I'm sure it works just fine for tackles as well. August 9, 2012
Great tackle box Plenty of room and well thought out. I am actually more impressed than I thought I would be. June 21, 2012
wow this is a great tackle box...it has room for everything. because of that it can get heavy May 20, 2012
Not bad, but could be enhanced In the market for a new box after 6 years with this one. Pros: plenty of storage, good layout and geometry. Cons: The three sets of latches are vertically aligned, making it difficult to access in a hurry or one handed. Trying to open the larger top lid with one hand caused it to crack the first season I used it. I was able to glue/weld it back together, making it work for another 5 years. The box would be more functional if this top lid was flatter or had a partial lip around the top edge, so tackle/tools could be set on top without fear of them sliding off. April 26, 2012

Can you put plastics in them instead of hardbait selections? if 1 breaks, can I replace it with a certain size basspro box? If so which one? Thanks

Answers

A:
No reason you couldn't put plastics in them, but if you need to replace one it get's a little ticklish; they're the Plano 3701 models, so they're only 1.4" thick instead of the 2" that the standard 3700 is.

Staff Answer
A:
Plano states: Though plastics we use in tackle boxes today will not physically melt, the strong chemicals used by soft bait manufacturers can cause the compartments and containers to warp excessively. Because of this, it is strongly suggested that soft baits remain in the original packaging

A:
To what extent? I've had mine on fishing trips to Canada where we got caught out in rain and heavy chop and water didn't get into the top tray, but a little did get in through the clear, front flip-down door where the 3700 utility boxes are.

A:
The 2-3701 boxes are 14x9.1x1.4, so the same outside measurements of a 3700 but thinner. What I do is keep everything organized in 3700s because with the extra 1/2" in thickness I can keep multiples together easier, and then load the 3701 trays with what I want to bring on the boat.

It depends on whether you want to have removable trays or fixed drawers, other than that the boxes are identical.

A:
No, the boxes that it ships with are the 3701, which measure 14"x9"x1.4", and I believe the 3600 boxes are 11"x7". You might be able to put one loose in the top bulk storage, though.
