Nicer Than Expected I bought this tackle box to hold and protect my collection of little league baseball pins.Because of all of the adjustable compartments and being a double layer tackle box,it worked out as a perfect fit for me. September 17, 2012
BEST VALUE BEEN USING PLANO 4700 UTILITY BOX FOR SEVERAL YEARS-THEY ARE SMOKE IN COLOR, STRONGER-VERY VERSITALE-WORK BETTER THAN NEWER UTILITY BOXES May 6, 2011
Best storage box yet The two tier design allows you to store lots more in a single slim box. I use it for plastics, weights, and hooks. The bottom box is a little tough to open until you figure out how to pry with your thumb and index finger. March 28, 2011
Exellent storage for hard baits All my primary lures are stuffed in these boxes and my older or seldom used ones are in the cheap single sided types. I find these boxes are great for sitting beside me on the casting deck because they take up little room, are easy to access lots of lures and they are tinted just enough to protect the lures vibrant colors and finishes but allow easy viewing of contents. I will buy more as my lure collection grows and I will recomend them to any basser out there. February 18, 2011

I use them for my hard bait lures and find that the tinting protects their finishes and vibrant colors even while sitting on the casting deck in full sun all day. I don't store any rubber worms in it but I do store several Yum Dancin' Eel lures in the bottom section with no ill affects.

Of course you can, they were made for that purpose. I store about 100 lures in 4700 model.

The top is smoked colored so the sun does not effect the contents from what I can tell. I suppose if you left it in direct sunlight for a long period of time the plastics might get a little sticky.
