awesome combo This rod/reel combo is extremely nice for the money July 24, 2014
pfluger rod and reel combo I think it is an outstanding rod and reel for the money. It is very smooth with all the ball bearings and the rod has a good backbone for jigging and cork fishing. For the 6 or seven fish I have caught of of the rod and reel the drag is smooth and the speckled trout and redfish caught on it were super fun I highly suggest this rod for anybody. Perfect for money. This rod is great. I bought the 6 foot 6 medium action one piece I have caught over fifty rainbow and brown trout over five pounds on this rod. The reel is the smoothest i have ever felt, and the rod has a perfect bend, with alot of Backbone. I am using Suffix Camoflague Monofilament, and i am casting over 100 feet every time. I strongly recommend buying this pole. This pole also held up against a seventeen pound salmon, as shown in picture. November 24, 2014
Does its job Bought two of the Trion combos so far so good I like them! January 19, 2015

A:
All Spinning reels are righ/left retrieve. You change the retrieve by unscrewing the cap on the opposite of the handel and move the handle to the other side and screw the cap back on.

did you check on the bottom of the reel? there is a little switch that you can flick back and forth to make it anti reverse on most reels.

A:
I have used the old trion.
I don't remember if u unscrew the handle itself or the cap on the other side.

If the new one is like the old one of these two methods should fix it.

1). there is a cap on the other side of the reel from the handle, unscrew it. If there is a screw attached to it then unscrew it and the handle should come off. Then you just reverse the process to put it back on on the other side.

2). Unscrew the cap i mentioned earlier and if it is just a little cap with no screw coming out of it than turn the handle backwards and it should come off. Reverse the process to put it back on.

remember. Don't turn the handle backwards very hard. If that is not the correct method you might break the reel.

Good Luck
