Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Combo My wife got this for me to get me outta the house. I have to say, this combo is awesome. Very smooth and casts great. I use it for trout. I bought the 6' ml. Very happy with my purchase. I have had Pfluger fly rods and reals before, can't beat the quality. July 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Rod/Reel Combo My son got me this combo for father's day. He apparently has a better sense for quality than I do. I used the Pflueger Trion with 7' rod for about four hours today. I can't say enough good things about it. It operates smoothly and the click snapping bail works like a dream. This will be my primary rod/reel from now on. June 19, 2014

A:
All Spinning reels are righ/left retrieve. You change the retrieve by unscrewing the cap on the opposite of the handel and move the handle to the other side and screw the cap back on.

did you check on the bottom of the reel? there is a little switch that you can flick back and forth to make it anti reverse on most reels.

A:
I have used the old trion.
I don't remember if u unscrew the handle itself or the cap on the other side.

If the new one is like the old one of these two methods should fix it.

1). there is a cap on the other side of the reel from the handle, unscrew it. If there is a screw attached to it then unscrew it and the handle should come off. Then you just reverse the process to put it back on on the other side.

2). Unscrew the cap i mentioned earlier and if it is just a little cap with no screw coming out of it than turn the handle backwards and it should come off. Reverse the process to put it back on.

remember. Don't turn the handle backwards very hard. If that is not the correct method you might break the reel.

Good Luck
