Rated 5 out of 5Â by Niet32 Great Combo!
Everyone thinks bigger is better but this rod/reel combo proves that sometimes going light is better. I fish ponds here in MA that get hit pretty hard. Bass are wary but by going light I have cauight 4-5 lb smallmouth with this rod. It's ability to cast long distances is what caught me off guard and fighting big fish has been surprising.
Yes I love this rod!

I got the 5 ft 6 pole and it is very flexible. Even though i haven't caught a fish yet, i still like the feel. By the way i got it for Christmas so i have only used it twice and the fish haven't been biting. It excels in performence. Overall it is a win-win situation.
