I purchased this reel to use strictly for bluegill and crappie. Although I've only been able to use this reel once before the ponds and lakes in our area froze over it seems be a very good performing little reel. Thanks to other reviews I replaced the line which came with the reel with 4lb. Trilene XL smooth casting which works well. I like the drag, easy to operate and this little Pflueger casts a mile. I'll see what happens next spring and summer so far as long term durability.

I have used a number of microcast over the past few years. This by far is the best quality and value I've found. Replaced the stock line with Crappie Maxx Super Viz in 4lb. test on a Crappie Maxx Mighty Lite 8ft. rod. It will cast an 1/8oz. jig a mile.

This reel was bought for my wife. She really likes the way it casts and reels. We fish for bass, crappie and just about anything else with it. The only problem, it wont stand up to being run over with a Ford F-150. That is why I have had to buy another one.

Works very well, only problem was the line on the reel, wasn't good quality had to replace it with better line.
