This is replacing a reel I've been using for a long time. It is very smooth and a pleasure to use. I am ordering two more.

I was blown away how smooth this reel was when I was messing around with it at the BPS reel counter. I went ahead and purchased the SC4UX trigger spin style for my 7 yr old daugher. I rigged it to a 5' UL rod. This has been the BEST reel for her. With its super smooth operation she can cast a light lure a country mile! It has NEVER let us down (she is 9 yrs old now). She has caught loads of Spotted and Largemouth Bass, countless blue-gill and green sunfish, crappie and even a bullhead! One of my troops liked it so much he went out and bought one and I am going to buy my father the SC6UX for Christmas this year!

Purchased the larger model. The line it came pre-strung with broke within 10 minutes on the first weed encountered. Broke again on the second weed. Restrung reel with 8 lb mono. "Catches" when casting and still broke line on lily pads. Tried re-stringing with spiderwire braid. Wont cast at all. Restrung with 10 lb mono. "Catches" when casting. Can only cast 20-30 ft or so and line is twisting in reel but at least it survives weeds. We spent more time arguing with the reel on the shoreline than fishing. Kinda hate it. It is less than 90 days old and hanging on the wall in the basement. Replaced it with a good old fashioned spinning reel.
