Triple-supported, oversized stainless steel main shaft
Braid ready
Popular favorites for many professional inshore guides and charter captains, Penn's Slammer Spinning Reels are designed with rugged, full metal body construction and top-quality components to withstand the pressures of taking trophy fish.
The Slammer’s full metal body and sideplate work to keep keep gears in precise alignment under heavy loads, while the Penn Leveline® wrap system provides consistent line lay regardless of retrieve speed or type of line. The Techno-Balanced rotor eliminates rotor wobble and improves performance. Five stainless steel ball bearings provide silky-smooth operation, and an Infinite Anti-Reverse roller bearing to eliminate backplay on the hookset (760 has six ball bearings). The Slammer Spinning Reels are complete with Penn’s oversized, shielded HT100 drag system designed to deliver smooth, consistent and dependable drag performance under heavy loads.

I was looking for a good spinning reel to fight big cats on the river to go along with my other catfish poles mounted with abu garcia 6500c3 reels. Although it's made to be used in salt water, a guy at bass pro recommend it for catfishing. I mounted it on a tiger ulgy stik lite, and without a doubt I can say
this reel is the best spinning reel i've ever used for catfish. It's a beast with ton of drag weight thats silky smooth, it also has powerful gears that will yank any big wisker kitty out of the water. The best part is that with 30lb braid and a 3 ounce weight you can cast a mile away.

Rated 5 out of 5 Great reel for the money.
I needed a reel of this size fast and was looking at the SSV7500 but it was out of stock. I chose this reel expecting to get what I considered to be an OK reel. To my surprise, I am very satisfied with the reel. The motion is very smooth and the drag works great.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHETHER THE SPOOL FOR 360 CAN BE EXCHANGED TO THAT FOR 260 AND CAN BE FITTED TO THE REEL BODY FOR 360. ONLY SPOOLS FOR 260 AND 360 ARE DIFFERENT EACH FROM THEIR REEL BODIES? THEIR BODIES ARE SAME? SO THE SPOOLS HAVE THE COMPATIBITY FOR EACH 260 AND 360 BODIES? 460 & 560 HAVE THE SAME COMPATIBILITIES????
I have the 360 and Im pretty sure you cant because my reel holds 240 yrds of 10lb test and I know for sure the 260 doesnt hold that much so its probably smaller. Hope this helps
The answer is “Yes” and “No”. The spools are interchangeable between the 260 & 360 as well as the 460 & 560. However, since the 360 and 560 are larger diameter spools, you would also need to change the rotor cup assembly. The bodies of the 260 & 360 and 460 & 560 are the same as well as all the internal parts.
