The Penn Spinfisher SSV builds on that legacy with a full metal body, sideplate and rotor plus a water-tight design that keeps saltwater out. Anglers will approve of this reel’s sealed HT-100 Slammer Drag System. For rugged durability, the Spinfisher V’s main shaft is stainless steel, as is its oversized bail wire. Line capacity rings on the Spinfisher V are a first for spinning reels. This reel is suited to inshore, nearshore, offshore and surf angling, or, in short, everything saltwater!

The Offshore Angler Inshore Extreme Spinning Rod is a serious fishing tool, with a beautifully laid HM54 graphite blank fashioned using the latest computer-aided design. A custom-lathed, split-grip, cork handle is combined with Fuji aluminum oxide guides and a graphite reel seat for a level of comfort you've likely never experienced before.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Wont fit I bought the 5500ssv combo with the offshore extreme 7ftrod.Got it today and it was a beauty!Proceeded to put it together and the reel wont fit under the reel seat.The foot of the reel was too thick.Major letdown.Contacted Bass Pro and like always they were very nice and helpful with return policy.The reel itself was smooth and the pole was light as a feather.Only wish it worked!Returning it and ordered same reel along with a St Croix November 27, 2012
