I have all three rods offerd from basspro and they are great , I was deep sea trolling and of course I hooked up on the lightest rod ,but it was no problem , I brought in a 48 lb. atlantic sail fish,and it was a good fight ,but these rods have a strong backbone

the penn mariner is exactly what it says, A STAND UP ROD I USED IT WITH A DAIWA EMCAST SPORT 6000 40LB Test for blue fish and i was impressed. bagged a few monsters and the rod was strong and made boating them easy with this combo. and the rod does look good thank you penn for your quality

Would it be heavier duty than a st. Croix mojo inshore rod 7'6" H? Also would this be a good light duty tarpon rod?Answers
