Easily one of the best rods I ever bought for the money! Easily competitive with rods costing three times the price. Balances with the Penn 750 SSm perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by miamiknight So far, so good......
I recently purchased this rod (about two months ago) to accompany a Penn SS reel that I have; and it does the job.
I own / fish from a smaller boat (16'); so this rods "stays out of the way" when moving across the Bay but gives me all of the backbone I need to land those monster mangrove snappers that we target.
Very good product for a very good price!

This is more of a boat rod, but if the pier you fish from is no mare than 10' above the water it should be fine.1 of 1
