It will work great IF you wrap the reel seat with electrical tape or shim it somehow. The round shape of the seat causes the reel to roll side to side regardless of how much you tighten the hood. I was pretty mad at first, because other than that this is a great quality rod, but once I figured out what to do it seems rock solid and I don't expect any further issues.
