This is a great product and the name speaks for itself. However I only gave it 4 stars because the dimensions given on the website are exterior dimensions, not interior! I purchased this for my Garmin 441s GPS/Fishfinder unit. When I purchased the case, I went by the dimensions given online. When product was received, it did not hold the unit for which it was intended. Given the price, I was very disappointed. Fortunately, I found another use for this product. Description needs to include interior dimensions as well!

I have one that I use as a firearm case when I travel and another I keep on my ATV.
As with all Pelican products, these are great.

I think that I have 8 of these cases, and I LOVE them! I use the breakdown shotgun case for my fly rods when travel, and the 1450 for reels. Pelican cases are built like tanks, and I have never had anything damaged while inside them. They are a little on the heavy side, but, you get what you pay for. I add the Pelican Dehumidifier to each case just to make sure I don't find any ugly surprizes.

Never had one fail, and I own 3. Put my electronics and reels in these. They survive the airlines in or out of luggage, been kicked, dropped, dipped in the ocean, and protected my gear from wet and breakage in every abuse I put it to (within reason) The self-pressurizing valve is VERY good for those who go from plane to boat and back in a short timeframe.
