A sturdy vise with features comparable to those in the $200-250 range, the Peak® Rotary Vise includes a 6" x 6" x 1/2" stand-alone pedestal base constructed of white, powder-coated steel. This base provides a stable work platform and features a convenient, rounded-edge pocket for beads and hooks. Its non-reflective white coat provides good contrast, making small hooks and beads easy to see without straining your eyes.

The Peak Rotary Vice has a positive-stop cam action that allows repeatable gripping from the first fly to the last. Its hardened jaws can hold hooks ranging from a 2/0 streamer hook to a #24 midge. Additional features include an adjustable height and length bobbin rest, a quick-change jaw and an adjustable friction knob. Optional Peak Saltwater Jaws are available for hook sizes up to 6/0.

Peak Rotary Vise with Pedestal Base 4.7 5 24 24
really nice vise this has been a great vice so far. I tie everything from size 24 dries to 2/0 salt water flies. It holds them all very securely and the rotary action is great. My only problem with the vice is sometimes the large jaws get in the way when tying small stuff, Other than that, it's a great vise. The base is huge so it's very stable. The recess in it is great for putting small beads and hooks to seewhat you have and grab them easily. January 3, 2008
Poor Customer Service I have one but don't expect much in the way of customer service. I asked for some new screws because...well they broke...and it being a lifetime warranty deal I figured Peak would help me. Especially on something as little as a screw. I was dead wrong....they told me basicly too bad so sad...and told me to find a dealer and purchase more. What kind of lifetime warranty is that???? Would not recommend. There not exactly giving them away and for the money better service is certainly out there. Vice is not bad otherwise. With the exception of plastic screws for tention adjustments? July 14, 2014

Peak Rotary Vise Amazing vise! As the owner of 4 different fly tying vises, this is by-far the best I've ever owned. Its my first rotary vise and its amazing how easy it makes my life as someone who ties up to 100 flies in one sitting (for local tackle shops). It has a lot of accessories through the Peak website and other Peak dealers that make it all that much more cooler. I would recommend this vise to anyone looking for a rotary vise or even a first time vise. I wish I had it when I first started tying, I'd absolutely still have it today. I most likely won't ever buy another vise now. The price is just right too since a Renzetti would most likely cost you around $200. For $50 less, your getting even more quality with this vise. A:
It depends on if you get the C-clamp or pedestal. The pedestal base adds like 3 pounds to the overall weight of the vise whereas the C-clamp only adds like a half a pound.
