A sturdy vise with features comparable to those in the $200-250 range, the Peak® Rotary Vise includes a 6" x 6" x 1/2" stand-alone pedestal base constructed of white, powder-coated steel. This base provides a stable work platform and features a convenient, rounded-edge pocket for beads and hooks. Its non-reflective white coat provides good contrast, making small hooks and beads easy to see without straining your eyes.
The Peak Rotary Vice has a positive-stop cam action that allows repeatable gripping from the first fly to the last. Its hardened jaws can hold hooks ranging from a 2/0 streamer hook to a #24 midge. Additional features include an adjustable height and length bobbin rest, a quick-change jaw and an adjustable friction knob. Optional Peak Saltwater Jaws are available for hook sizes up to 6/0.

I have just begun to tie flies and this vise has been very easy to use. The vise has held each size of hook that I have used so far very securely(size 10- 24). The rotary part of the vise allows me to work on the fly at different angles which has made learning to tie flies like a Parachute Adams an ease to do. The weight of the base keeps the vise from moving while working .
A great value for the money

Very Good, but could be better
The vise is very well made. And I am happy that it is made in America. However, for the price, it would have been nice if the thumbscrews came in brass instead of plastic.

Peak Rotary Vise with Pedestal Base
Great Vise. Holds hooks securely without allowing the hook to shift position. True rotary vise allows the ability to work 360 degrees around the fly as it is being worked on. A true pleasure to tie flies on.

Peak Rotary Vise
Amazing vise! As the owner of 4 different fly tying vises, this is by-far the best I've ever owned. Its my first rotary vise and its amazing how easy it makes my life as someone who ties up to 100 flies in one sitting (for local tackle shops). It has a lot of accessories through the Peak website and other Peak dealers that make it all that much more cooler. I would recommend this vise to anyone looking for a rotary vise or even a first time vise. I wish I had it when I first started tying, I'd absolutely still have it today. I most likely won't ever buy another vise now. The price is just right too since a Renzetti would most likely cost you around $200. For $50 less, your getting even more quality with this vise.
