A sturdy vise with features comparable to those in the $200-250 range, this Peak Rotary Vise includes a Clamp Mount that allows the vise to be attached to flat surfaces with a thickness ranging from 11/16’’ to 2-1/4’’. Weighing in at only 8 ozs., the Peak Rotary Vise with Clamp Mount is a great choice for anglers who prefer a mobile fly-tying station. Its brass-tipped set screw allows repeated assembly and re-assembly without having to worry about scaring the riser shaft.
The Peak Rotary Vice has a positive-stop cam action that allows repeatable gripping from the first fly to the last, and its hardened jaws can hold hooks ranging from an 2/0 streamer hook down to a #24 midge. Additional features include an adjustable height and length bobbin rest, a quick-change jaw and an adjustable friction knob. Optional Saltwater jaws are available for hook sizes up to 6/0.

This vise is the best rotary that isn't ridiculously over priced. I just got it today after upgrading from my Griffin Spider Vise, and this vise is superior. It is solid as a rock and it holds hooks with awesome power. This vise is all metal except for a 2 plastic set screws (they are plastic to avoid metal-on-metal wear). This vise is everything you could ever want and more. It is very simplistic, but this is actually appealing to me because it means less parts to mess up. The vise stem is a tight fit in the c-clamp, it just takes a little wiggling to get it in. I have tied about a dozen flies with it ranging from a size 6 streamer to a size 22 Griffiths Gnat. I would highly recommend this vise to someone who is serious about their fly tying.

The jaws hold hooks solidly and adjust easily. I like the rotary feature as it helps with placing cement and easily seeing the whole fly or jig. The vice is simple and sturdy. I am very glad I didn't buy a cheap vice.

Purchased this vice about 2 years ago. Been tying a lot with it and I have to say I do love it.
The design is clean with no frills or gimmicks. Excellent build quality with everything machined to very fine tolerances. The clamping action is smooth and secure even down to a size 24. I have the clamp mount version and its super stable, fits every table I've tried it on. Rotating motion is very smooth with a very simple tension adjustment of the screw, great to spin the fly in a flat position for wrapping those long shank hooks.
Most of all its the value. This is way cheaper than the high priced so called top end vices and it does the same job in a simple and elegant manner.
Overall I think this is a great product and I'm proud to be able to buy American.
