Rated 5 out of 5 by Bittner58 Grerat Balls O' Fire The green label Pautzkes Balls O Fire have been the quintessential Trout catching tool in my family as long as I can remember. My dad introduced me to them the first time he took me fishing out at North Park Lake on the first day of trout season in PA back in 1988. They have caught me countless trout rainbow brown and brookies over the years and are a "secret" that I plan on passing on to my children some day. They work on many other species too, since moving to NC I have found they work great on Crappies down here as well as the steel head up north. Two or three of these eggs on some eagle claw snells and some 6lb test with an ultra-light rod sounds like a good time on the water to me. March 21, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by MountainMike best trout bait ever my family has been using this bait since the beggining of time. i have expiremented with other things and this out performs every thing for trout. i fish in the sierras and knock em dead every time with the green label. i use a #6 octopus hook on 6 lb test line with a split shot or two 2-3 feet up my line. fill the hook with the eggs (about 3). and I throw it upstream and let it drift down past the holes. last time i went for a week and caught about 60-65 rainbows and 6 browns up in the mountains with this method. im telling ya, paultsky's is the real deal. tight lines every one.
