I used to shoot my Mosin Nagant rifle all day with its steel butt plate. After 20 rounds of steel core ammo my shoulder would begin to hurt, but now that I wear my Past recoil pad under my shirt I can rattle off rounds all day and not feel any soreness the next day,
If you want to shoot that historical rifle and don't want to alter the looks buy a Past recoil pad!!
I have many large caliber rifles and I only had to buy one recoil pad and it works no matter what rifle I pick up!

I bought this Recoil shield for my 10 year old. He uses a 12 gauge and a 20 gauge for trap shooting and he says he cannot even feel the guns kickback at all. He is very pleased with it. Well worth the $ spent!

I purchased this for my 10 yr old son. The adjustment shrinks down to fit him over his coat. He was having some problems with the recoil of a singshot we got for him to hunt upland game with me. When we were in Las Vegas, a store associate recommended this to me. When I got home, I ordered it with a couple other things online. It has worked better than I imagined. He loves to go hunting now, and not just walking with me. It has improved his shots, no flinching, no pain. I think he might always use it, even as he gets older.

I hand that over to my newbies at the range. Especially to those new to skeet or trap. I have repeat company or improved interest in shooting if their experience isn't one followed by pain. One drawback is the strap is too small for some of the bigger chested guys like myself. Had to add an extension.

I wore it over a t-shirt under a button up shirt......it was nearly invisible.

I would say it is not recommended to be worn under clothing because the leather on the front secures the gun in place, while the leather on the back prevents the shield from sliding around on your shoulder.Details:Â
I have a spinal cord injury and had 2 surgeries. The Doc says I can go back to shooting but I want Maximum recoil protection. 1. So I can shoot longer 2. does not shake loose my hardware implantsAnswers

My 10 yr old uses this and it dramatically reduced recoil. I used to have to stand behind him when he shoots to stop him from going too far back. Now he shoots all day with no problems. One downside, I am going through a lot more shells now, but I can live with that.1 of 1
