Rated 5 out of 5 by Execellent Crossbow Bought this crossbow back in spring for my son as he is still a little gun shy (8 yrs. old). Bought because of size seemed to fit a little better but I felt very comfortable shooting it also. He became very good quickly at shooting it and shot a turkey with it in spring. Fall has arrived and he has taken his first ever deer a seven pointer at 25 yds. Would highly recommend for any youth or women (but I also love compact size myself). November 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Happy After reading online reviews and speaking with Phillip at BPS in Concord I decided to go with the Thunderhawk. The customer service Phillip offered was incredible. Being able to go to the shop and shot the crossbow ahead of time really gave me additonal confidence in my purchase. Go to the store and see for yourself. Can't wait to use my new crossbow this weekend! Thanks again Phillip. November 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by they wont make it twenty yards I bought this bow before bow season it is super light, very well balanced and it sighted in well. The string wore too quickly but BassPro fixed the issue post haste, the week before season. Opening day I had two does walk by at fifteen yards, she went 20 yards and dropped. One week later same arrow and cheap fixed broadhead, a trophy six walks by at twenty yards, he ran 25 yards away and then right back and fell ten feet from where I shot. I recommend the sound dampeners, the second doe didn't even spook. October 26, 2013

no rope cocking aid, but I did purchase one. I have a weak back and it just makes it require less force to cock.

It does not. Yes it is worth purchasing the Red Hot Rope Cocking aide. The instructions tell you not to cock it without the use of a cocking aid.
