This toboggan may look sturdy but unfortunately it's quite thin. Definitely would not support an adult and more like an individual under 50lbs. I'm not sure how long it would last as it feels like a large piece of blasa wood and probably wouldn't make it outside on a vehicle ski rack.
The toboggan also appears to come unvarnished, not sure if this is a good thing if you're bringing it onto the slopes.
Personally I'm stuck wiht mine, I'd love to take my niece and nephew on it but I think in the end I'm going to use it as a wall hanger after a couple coats of varnish to give it a rustic look because it is at least a very beautiful wooden tobaggan.
