Panther Martin Spinner Spinnerbait
I live in San Diego, CA. I was raised in the Imperial Valley east of here, where my fishing consisted of irrigation canal fishing. My freinds & I drive the 2 hours to fish these canals. I have used these Panther Martin Spinnerbait in a variety of colors. My greatest success has been come while using the black w/yellow dots & the yellow. The small & largemouth bass are very aggressive on hitting these lures. I have always loved the Panther Martin lures.

Panther Martin doesn't get the same love as the revered Mepps and Roostertail brands, but the PM's are fish-catchin'-Johnnies!
On a recent trip to Logan Martin, Alabama, the spotted bass just ATTACKED the Yellow Speckled spinner when nothing at all in the tackle bag was working. 7 real nice largemouth as well.
Next to worms and stickos/Senkos, I'm going to in-line spinners more and more. They just work...don't know why...but they plain work!

Still The Best
Panther Martin Spinners slightly edge out Mepps Aglia as the best spinnerbait of all time. Unlike Rooster Tails, you can always count on these blades spinning, and the fish hitting! I personally prefer to keep it simple, and have had the most success with the 01 (Black/Gold) & 02 (Silver) colors.
Every hardware angler should have at least a dozen Panther Martins of various sizes and colors in his/her tackle box at all times.

Lesser quality, but still beats rest
The slightly different blade shape/thickness in the new chinese made lures probably results in a different vibration frequency as compared to the Italian ones, and the quality control is inferior.I definitely prefer the originals. That said, the new ones are still better than the other competion at catching trout in my opinion. That is,unless someone markets the original patented Italian bladed spinners under another name.
