Panther Martin doesn't get the same love as the revered Mepps and Roostertail brands, but the PM's are fish-catchin'-Johnnies!
On a recent trip to Logan Martin, Alabama, the spotted bass just ATTACKED the Yellow Speckled spinner when nothing at all in the tackle bag was working. 7 real nice largemouth as well.
Next to worms and stickos/Senkos, I'm going to in-line spinners more and more. They just work...don't know why...but they plain work!

First time really using a lure, and on my favorite stream. I'm about to rig up a bait when something hits the surface, so I decide, "what the heck!". I throw out the spinner and just reel it in, not expecting anything, when...BAM! A brookie hits my lure, completely gobsmacking me. Two pounds, cooking it for dinner tomorrow.

I have had a great luck with the silver blade with the yellow body with red spots. I guess it mimics in some way roe. They used to make it with a red body and yellow dots (I'm talking 1980s) but that never worked! I repainted them to yellow with red dots. I fish ultralight 1/16 in moderate waters but 1/32 oz in higher smaller streams for smaller trout. That lure has caught many a meal in a very short time.A:Â
Either of the brook trout colors, but in a small size.A:Â
I've caught a ton of trout on a rainbow Holographic. 3/8 oz. will catch some big fish. I have also caught good size fish on 1/4 oz. The silver/blue holographic w/ deluxe body is also a ture trout killer.A:Â
I would recommend the warden 1/8 coach dog rooster tailAnswers

I use the 1/16 and 1/8 oz . size! The rivers and ponds that I fish are small to tiny! Depending on time of year determines what size I use! In the spring I start with the 1/16, and work my way up to the 1/8 size when needed. As the season goes by, I usually fish the 1/8 size! Now depending on the size of body of water you fish, and the dept, size of forage, will determine the size of lure to use.Hope this helps!
Tight lines, and be safe!

Inland trout stream, use a 1/4 ounce. Reel it just fast enough to keep it off the bottom. 1/8 ounce or smaller do not dive deep enough in faster moving currents where the trout are waiting to pounce.A:Â
1/4oz or smaller depending on the size of the fish your going after.A:Â
Hi - I have found that the small sizes are the best for trout. Even big trout seem to like the small sizes fished fast. With the bigger sizes, you will get trout but other species will get to the lure first!A:Â
This depends on where you are fishing. If you are fishing tiny streams for small native trout, size 0 is by far the best. For normal sized streams, #1 is typically best. For large streams and rivers, #2 is usually best. I've never used anything larger than that to catch any of the 16,000+ trout that I've caught.2 years, 4 months ago

you would wanna go with a smaller size like 1/16 oz but 1/8 oz would be the best for these.Q:Â

I can't say if it's better for bass or not, but for trout, in my case Brooke trout, I have found that a spinner without the fly works best! I have caught trout with both, but undressed spinner seem to work best for me! May be the location, different forage in my area, but one thing is sure! Panther martin spinners work very well!Hope this helps!

Yes. you might change the size, but it may not matter.A:Â
plain and simple you cant beat a panther martin. it is the best all around spinner you can buy. my favorite is the gold spinner with black body with yellow dots. any size will doA:Â
I like a dressed hook better, but I dont know if it makes a difference. I have caught numerous fish on both.Answers

Blue fox, and Panther Martin will both get great results with the Bass and almost all other fish. Stock up on all sizes and colores. Yellow Panthers seem to work best for the bass and walleyes.A:Â
I recomend Panther-Martin becuase of their design the spinner doesn't get hung up near as often.1 of 1
