  • Cast or troll
  • Use in rivers, lakes and streams
  • Barrel-shaped body
  • Dressed tail
Cast or trolled, the Panther Martin® Fly Spinner runs true and is easily one of the greatest fish catchers of all time. Effective in lakes, rivers and streams, Panther Martin Fly Spinner is truly effective on many species of fish. The barrel shaped bodies and dressed tails add extra bulk and color attraction.
Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 28 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by White Bass Buster! I've used the martin for years river fishing for white bass and nothing beats it! The perfect weight and color combination make it deadly. February 17, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Panther Martin ~ A good buy If you're in BPS, you owe it to yourself to pick up a Panther Martin Fly Spinner. Check 'em out, very good in-line spinners that catch fish. Used them alot when I was younger, wading ponds and creeks with a spincast outfit. Recommended to other fishermen. The Gold / orange was a favorite. August 30, 2008
Rated 5 out of 5 by I can't keep the fish off of these lures! First off, I love to use ultralight gear when fishing, so these spinners fit right into my style. They cast like bullets and you can "feel" the vibrations that these things throw off in the water. I have caught Bluegills to Largemouth bass on 'em. The best colors for me have been the silver blades with the orange/black fly as well as the gold blade with the orange/black fly. I got turned onto Panther Martin lures during the 2008 BPS Spring Fishing Classic, when I noticed them in a huge sale bin. I picked up one of each color that was there and haven't looked back since! A great product from Panther Martin! July 19, 2008
Rated 5 out of 5 by deadly and diverse! this lure is great for any specie of fish. throw this in a cold water stream, you'll catch trout, throw it in a small stream, you'll catch smallmouth, white bass, crappie, and sauger, throw it in a northern lake and catch northern pike, musky, and walleye, and throw it in a farm pond and you'll catch largemouth and MONSTER BLUEGILL. one great thing is the variety of colors it comes in. if there is a specie of fish you CAN'T catch with, LET ME KNOW!!!!!!! I used a #4 (1/8th oz) spinner on sespe river, ca (also fairly low water flow and shallow conditions) and got snagged on rocks an awful lot- I would suggest the #2 (1/16 oz) or #1 (1/32 oz.)

In my opinion the gold fly spinner is the best all-round lure for all bass species and trout. I always feel confident when I have one tied on.

I think the panther martin fly spinner is a better spinner for bass and trout. Because it runs shallower and is easier to control its depth.

I have had awesome success with it in rivers too besides ponds and lakes. I've caught many bass and pickerel but i would scale it down for trout too.

Gold with orange tail. They used to make them in 3/8 oz. and even 1/2 oz. The larger sizer were great for river smallies and lake largemouth. For trout and smallmouth, the smaller sizes are still killer. They can't be beat.

It all depends on the body of water your fishing in! Some colors work best in one lake, pond, river! But will not work as well in an other location, like an other state, or provinces! Here in Canada, where I fish, the silver has always been a go too color, but five miles down the road, the pink body, silver blade works better! Just get the major colors and you will be set! Get the gold, silver, silver yellow, gold silver, pink if you can get it. Also get different sizes, from the 1/32 all the the way up to the 1/4 oz..

As for dressed or undressed, I find that I have more success without the fly, that also depends on your area.

All in all, get a good selection for different areas, they all work very well!

The one with a gold blade with a yellow body has always been my top producer; in regards to many different types of freshwater species. This includes fishing in ponds, rivers and streams.
