Not only will our Painted Lead Dumbbell Eyes add weight and lifelike appeal to your favorite pattern, they also eliminate the need to paint your own. Painted Dumbbell Eyes were made famous by the deadly Clouser Deep Minnow, and have become a mainstay on many popular streamer, bass, salt and salmon patterns. 10 pack.
Rated 5 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by great price these work great for circus peanuts and other flies and streamers. they hold up well and they are a great price January 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great! These are the eyes on the famous Clouser Minnow. Always in stock, in the right color and size. May 18, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy and Durable The paint is very durable and the weight is pretty consistent. Great for any fly tier. March 30, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by perfect balanced eyes these eyes make my flies look perfect. they make them sink at a perfect rate, and the hold up. the only drawback is that the paint, after being cast a while, comes off if the fly hits rocks or other hard substances while casting.last but not least, these have an unbeatable price. A:
that completely depends on the size of fly you are tying. if you tie a large pike fly for example, and you want it to still sink pretty good, you need the heavier eyes. if you are tying a smaller fly for small-mouth for example on the same hook, then you could get away with a lighter weighted eye, or a heavier one if you are tying reversed hook jig style flies. buy a few packs! they are cheap. experiment!

There are 2 basic answers, depending on who you ask:
1) Put it any hook you want for the look and action you want.
2) Check the package. If there is no table showing dumbbell to hook matches, a general rule would be to check a package of brass beads. They usually have the table I am talking about.
