P-Line's CXX X-Tra Strong Monofilament stands up to the roughest structure and strongest fish, thanks to its superior abrasion-resistant coating and extremely high breaking strength.
Choose Hi-Vis Fluorescent for night fishing; Crystal Clear is perfect for any water conditions; Smoke Blue is very popular for saltwater fishing; Fluorescent Green provides high visibility both day and night; and Moss Green is the favorite of bass anglers.
I have been using P-Line for several years now. I would highly recommend it for serious tournament anglers as well as the weekend angler. I started using P-Line while fishing the Bassmasters Tournament Trail. I never had a fish break off in the three years I used it on the trail. Recently, I have branched out into saltwater action. The thing that really sold me was on a redfish trip. I got my lure hung in the reeds while using 15 pound test P-Line. When I tried to break the line, I pulled a 3200 pound boat, myself, a 300 plus pound fishing buddy plus all my tackle and equiptment to the reeds rather than breaking the line.
On another outing offshore, I landed a 52 inch Ling on the same 15 pound test P-Line.
In a nut shell, if you want a line that performs beyond its test rating day in and day out, you need to spool up with P-Line.

Best Strong Line
I have been using 8lb and 6lb pline xxx for over five years. I was looking for a strong, abrasive resistant line in which to catch 4-6 lb smallmouth out of major stumps in Northern Michigan. This stuff is great. I use 8lb on spinning and baitcast reels. I have pulled 15 ilbs stumps off the bottom of the lake and the knots hold true. You will straighten 3/0 gamakatsu hooks. You will get bird nests, which detangle easier then mono, if you are not closing the bail by hand and reel magic is great to keep the memory low. Cold water (40 degrees or lower) has a impact on this line more so then mono. You will not be disappointed in this line for fishing around heavy cover, piers or rocks.

This line was recommended to me by 1 of the salesman at bass pro las vegas and he was right. I have now just purchased a second 3000yd spool of 12# moss green. The only complaint is the line memory when using it on a spinning reel but with the use of a good line spray that problem almost goes away. This is why I only gave it a 4 since there was no way to give it a 4.5. I use it for all my lake fishing. I fish mostly for stripped bass on Lake Mohave on Nevada/Arizona boarder. Even while troiling if the line snags it slows the boat down before it breaks off. Before buying this line I thought all mono's where the same but this brand has great strength and cast great also.

The fustration of breaking off fish, had me in a line changing freny. I was unsatisfied with numerous lines for different reasons, until I tried P-Line CXX in moss green. This line is AWESOME...strong, great knot strength, and good castibility what more could you ask for. Now every reel I own (30+reels) is armed with P-Line CXX. My tournament partner is also armed with P-Line (40+reels) but in floroclear...he swears by it. THANKS P-Line!!!

You might try braided line. I use PowerPro and SpiderWire Stealth on spinning and baitcaster reels. This line is expensive, but it lasts a very long time. I put the heavier (20, 30 & 40lb.) line on the baitcasters. If you've never used braid you're in for a treat. Watch you don't break a rod or cut your fingers. Good luck.
If low memory, no stretch and abrasion resistance are your requirements, you need to stay away from all monofilament lines. If you are willing to tolerate a little stretch, try XPS Fluorocarbon Line. It has much less stretch than mono, is low memory and extremely abrasion resistant. If you want zero stretch, try Excel Braid. Excel is zero memory, no stretch and extremely abrasion resistant.
