  • Low memory
Finally, a fishing line that offers the best of both worlds! Rated 5 out of 5 by works with ease i love this line before i used to use a regular monofiliment and i was getting too much line memory and too many snapped lines on hook sets this line is a true answer to all of that. February 4, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great line. I tried this line in 6lb. test for crappie fishing under a slip float. It has easily became my favorite. Low memory, low visibilty, and excellent abrasion resistance make this line great. The flourocarbon coating is slick , allowing even the lightest jigs to pull through a slip float much easier than any other mono I have used. Extremely abrasion resistant around stake beds and stumps. I highly recommend this line for crappie fishing. January 27, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by P-line in general I was turned on to P-line by my local pro shop, and i have to tell you i am incredibly pleased with it. I have used the XX tough, and the floroclear. I spool up with the floroclear for every type of fishing i do with the exception of pike fishing and frogging. I can vouch for the strength of Floroclear with this story. I was shore fishing on a farm pond with a friend of mine and i managed to snag the swimming dock. I pulled the dock to shore against the wind and unhooked my lure, the dock floated back to it's tether point. I was using 12lb test for this! I recommend this product with out any reservations what so ever. Lunchbox January 19, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by great i hadn't thought about getting p-line but the employee at bass pro shops told me about it. so i bought it and it surprised me! it is great! the flourocarbon coating makes a difference. its invisible in the water and has zero stretch and is very very strong. casts well too. i havent been using baitcasters long and i didnt have very many backlashes. I ordered a 3000 yd spool of Pline Floroclear line. I thought it was a florocarbon line, but the package says it is florocoated. What is the difference. Does this line have all the same characteristics as regular Florocarbon line?

A:
Floroclear is a copolymer which is mono coated with floro. This makes it much more manageable than 100% floro, but on the downside it sinks slower and stretches more than 100%.

Clear is very good line. After use for another day, I suggest strip off a yard and retie. Carbon is sight resistant where clear is betwwen mono and carbon. Great line for the price...

A:
Floroclear is mono with a florocarbon coating. More stretch, but my experience has been that if you get a good spool itsmore durable than florocarbon. I prefer floroclear over florocarbon for most applications.

A:
Florocoated is just that...mono coated in florocarbon. Has a little more stretch, but is the best mono you can buy. Florocarbon has little stretch and is a lot more stiff, so its harder to cast. It is nearly invisible under water, plus, it sinks. Both have their place and I would use both.
