Finally, a fishing line that offers the best of both worlds! P-Line's Floroclear Line has a unique fluorocarbon coating that ensures the line is virtual invisible underwater for stealth presentations. Along with a special copolymer construction, Floroclear has little memory, is very castable, amazingly durable and unbeatable knot strength. For sizes marked ''DELAY SHIP'' please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery.

  • Virtually invisible underwater
  • Special copolymer construction
  • Low memory

great line Been trying to use as many different types of Mono for the last three seasons trying to find "the one". I believe I have found it in P-Line Flouroclear. I purchased the 10# and I'm lovin it! It casts super far. And even in the chilly March weather in New York, memory is extremely low (and would probably be non existent in the warmer weather). Casting in crystal clear water, the line dissapears about 1 - 2 feet down. I got caught up in a branch using a Strike King Coffee Tube on the new Shakey Head jig head and wound up pulling up a small bush from the bottom...just goes to show, the line is super strong, can hold a knot very well without compromising strength and the hook on the new jig is super strong as well (check out that review). All Pros....no Cons March 28, 2008
Good Stuff I have been using this for a year for walleye and lm bass primarily. I have 8lb line on two spinning reel spools. It has little memory (at least after a couple casts) and is strong. I landed an 18lb Northern while walleye fishing this spring with no leader. The reasonably stout hook was nearly pulled straight but the line held strong and I landed a beauty. Last fall I landed an 8lb walleye that devoured the jig and the line held without a nick despite some gnarly teeth. August 3, 2011
Brittle Beginings This line was near perfection when I purchased several 300 yard filler spools locally from a BassPro competitor. Something is not quite right with the 3000 yd spool from BassPro. The 12lb test looked OK, but broke off easily when fishing with the first three baitcasters that I loaded with line from the 3000 yd spool. The line quality seems to be getting more consistent though as I get further into the spool. Hopefully I'm now past the bad spots. July 28, 2010
Great line. I tried this line in 6lb. test for crappie fishing under a slip float. It has easily became my favorite. Low memory, low visibilty, and excellent abrasion resistance make this line great. The flourocarbon coating is slick , allowing even the lightest jigs to pull through a slip float much easier than any other mono I have used. Extremely abrasion resistant around stake beds and stumps. I highly recommend this line for crappie fishing. January 27, 2009

Details:
I ordered a 3000 yd spool of Pline Floroclear line. I thought it was a florocarbon line, but the package says it is florocoated. What is the difference. Does this line have all the same characteristics as regular Florocarbon line?

A:
Floroclear is a copolymer which is mono coated with floro. This makes it much more manageable than 100% floro, but on the downside it sinks slower and stretches more than 100%.

Clear is very good line. After use for another day, I suggest strip off a yard and retie. Carbon is sight resistant where clear is betwwen mono and carbon. Great line for the price...

A:
Floroclear is mono with a florocarbon coating. More stretch, but my experience has been that if you get a good spool itsmore durable than florocarbon. I prefer floroclear over florocarbon for most applications.

A:
Florocoated is just that...mono coated in florocarbon. Has a little more stretch, but is the best mono you can buy. Florocarbon has little stretch and is a lot more stiff, so its harder to cast. It is nearly invisible under water, plus, it sinks. Both have their place and I would use both.
