P-Line CXX X-tra Strong Monofilament - 370-600 Yards
Simply The best hands down
This was my first year fishing this cxx and I am now extremely hooked . I fish tourniments every weekend and have been blown away with this line the way it cast - strength- feel and does not and I truely mean it does not scar up or fray any at all. I now have every size in it in my shop were i keep my tourniment supplies at . My days of looking for a great fishing line ended in 2010 , and the best fishing of my life will begin in 2011 with all 15 of my tourniment rods line with cxx no more breaking fish of for this old cat or needing that little extra lenght on my cast . good luck all and god bless your fishing and lifes

One of the toughest lines out there
I've used many lines. P-Line CXX is extremely strong and abrasion resistant. It's not the thinnest line, but that's where you need to understand your application. Rocks, reefs, wood cover, etc this line shines. A little stretchy makes it great for cranks & forgivenes. I really was impressed when landing a 43lb King Salmon in a fast flowing river from the bank. Sure I had to run up & down the shore a few times, but I couldn't believe how much pressure I could put on that fish w/ 20# test. I felt like I was going to break my rod. When I checked my line there were nicks & abrasions in the last 20 feet that would have caused other lines to fail. When I'm looking for toughness, P-Line CXX will be my go to.

Tough, but lots of memory
Overall, I love the way this line handles while fishing. The knot strength & abrasion resistance are very good.
The downside is this stuff has a LOT of memory to it. I've had this on my reels for 4 months, and the amount of memory makes backlashes difficult to remove. The line coils on itself as you strip the spool, which results in kinks and knots you have to sort out while reeling the stripped line back in.
It's relatively inexpensive, but considering the lifespan due to memory, multiplied by the number of reels you own, I'm not sure it's the best bang for the buck.

Best line out there...period
I've tried a number of different lines over the years and finally got around to trying P-Line and oh how I wish I had tried it first. The CXX is the toughest line out there. I use P-Line from 8# to 25# on both my spinning and casting reels and all are great. Knots hold, it doesn't knick easy and casts great. It's not the most supple line out there but with a few sprays of KVD line conditioner, it's perfect. I've used it frog fishing and even pitching in light to medium cover and never had it fail. All 20 of my reels have P-Line on them and I wouldn't use anything else.
