P-line’s CX Premium Fluorocarbon Coated Line is one of the most innovative lines available, combining copolymer and fluorocarbon technologies. CX Premium eliminates spinning reel line problems with its low memory and improved limpness. The combination of low memory and limpness also improves casting distance with a baitcast reel. The fluorocarbon-silicone coating virtually eliminates water absorption so cold water and weather have little effect on line performance. With as much as 30% less stretch than average lines, it has increased sensitivity to detect and react to even the most subtle strikes. 1000 yards.
Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 44 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Super strong and super smooth! This is my go to line for jigs and texas rigged plastics. It's super smooth off the reel and super strong. I've bent hooks trying to free from snags and have never broken off. Talk about a strong line! The flourescent color is great in murky waters and am always confident it is almost invisible underwater because of the flurocarbon. Superior line for heavy baits and heavy cover. March 11, 2008
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Line Ever Spooled several spinning reels with 6 lb. test. I was amazed. No kinks. No memory. Good knot strength. Fished Dale Hollow under windy conditions with live bait and light weight at 40 feet. Line performed admirably. Can't say enough good about it. Never had a single tangle with it. The fish didn't like it. They couldn't see it and it didn't break. November 6, 2007
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nobody Knows I say P-line and youda thought I was talkin forener speak. Really, Berkley Xl has nothin on this. Disappears under water. Handles great on spinnin tackle. Im buyin more rite now(really). December 17, 2006
Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstand Line! P-Line CX Premium is superior line in every respect. Like many folks, I've used just about every top-quality line made over my decades of fishing both fresh and saltwater. I started using P-Line years ago -- back when Japanese fishing products were not so popular in the USA. I've found that CX Premium has all of the properties I look for, with virtually no undesireable ones. For any given break strength, it is about .001" to .002" smaller diameter than just about any other line. This thinness pay off, since 10# CX is the same diameter as most other 8# lines. Smaller diameter line casts easier (particularly in the wind), casts a bit farther, and lures run a little deeper. I've actually checked the break strength on P-Line 4# through 25# and it always meets and sometimes exceeds their rated pound strength. CX Premium limpness and lack of spool memory is equivalent to Trilene XL based on my and my wife's side-by-side comparisons on both spinning and conventional reels. The fluorocarbon coating does a good job of sealing the nylon core of the line. Therefore, water absorbtion is near zero, the line behaves the same whether hot or cold, and line stretch is reduced significantly. CX Premium is noticeably more sensitive than Trilene XL (a long-time favorite). For saltwater, many fisherman want absolutely clear line. Personally, I like to see my line... as long as the fish can't. The folks at P-Line did their homework, because the hi-vis fluorescent coating works as advertised. It virtually disappers underwater. My only complaint is the 300 yard filler spools should be 330 like most other brands. With 330 yards, most of us can completely fill one spinning reel spool and one baitcasting reel (with 300 yards, you typically get to choose one or the other). I change my line often enough that I now buy the 1000 yard spool, which is actually more cost-effective at Bass Pro Shop's prices. I think P-Line CX Premium is fantastic line for almost any type of fishing. December 13, 2006

CX Clear Florescent is highly visible under black light even with its small diameter. 10lb shows up great and I do some jigging and worming at night with the 20lb and it shows up like a rope!
Strength is excellent!

fluorocarbon doesn't glow under a black light you are thinking mono and with mono i would get stren 12lb test clear/blue. I have this on my night time rod and i can catch bass and striper all night long without any problems just remember to retie after a big fish.

Obviously flourocarbon line is more abrasion resistent and withstands uv light which keeps it from breaking down.

In Mexico, in very bright sunlight, the line above water appeared to be light fluorescent blue, but wasn't visible underwater, at least to the humans on the boat.

Just as invisible as any other flourocarbon line, if not better. The sink rate is not as fast as 100% flourocarbons, but it still sinks. I think this is the best value line out there. Another very important factor for me is the memory of the line. It has almost no memory and that makes it easy to cast with minimal backlash.

A:
I have been using it for several months now. Because its a co-polymer with fluorocarbon coating it does sink, not as fast as a 100% fluoro but it is very strong line. I picked up a 35 pound river rock cause my lure got stuck and the line didn't break, or even so much as stretch. If you have been using mono lines more and are trying this out for the first time, the sink rate is still almost twice as fast because the line does sink.
