I am replacing all of my previous EWG style hooks with the Owner Wide Gap Plus. The hook stays sharp, baits do not slip and fish do not throw this hook as easily as the competitor. If you are considering this hook I strongly recommend it!

Owner wide gap hooks are the only brand of hooks that I have tried and stuck with. I use the Wide Gap Plus in 3/0, 4/0, and 5/0 for fishing all my plastic baits. I have never had a bucket mouth throw one of these after a hook up.....

These hooks are great for bigger, thicker baits such as swim baits like Skinny dippers, bitters naked swimmers, or berkley havoc grass pig.
