Rated 5 out of 5 by Go to Jig I love this jig head. I use both weights. I fish tubes most of the time on Lake St. Clair in Michigan and like the way this tube can glide thru weeds and current. I have used these jids for about 10 years or so and last season was the first time I had a hook break on me. During the same day last year, I lost 2 nice 3 to 4 lb. smallies due to the hook breaking. Maybe a bad batch or just an old jig head? Don't know why but haven't had a problem since. I like tubes on this jig due to being able to change tubes without retieing each time. Cast well and great hook sets. Plan on buying more for this season. February 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 best jig This jig is great for 5 inch grubs and 7 inch plastic worms. I wish they made it in a lighter weight also. July 27, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Owner Ultrahead Jig Hooks Excellent design for grubs, worms and skirted double tail plastics. I've fished this set up in both local and regional tournaments with great success. In icy cold weather or hot stagnant conditions, dropping them in tough weed beds where the big ones lie and wait for baitfish. Wish Owner made these in heavier sizes !!! February 8, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Absolutely the Best The Owner UltraHead is my "go to" for all finesse worm applications. It is perfect for Texas rigging up to 6 inch worms and fishing the weed beds/edges as the bullet head snakes easily through the weeds. Of course, Owner is known for their ultra sharp hooks and this is no exception. The hook is strong and sharp. I've never had the hook straighten or break and have landed bass over 5 lbs. on this jig while fishing finesse. Two thumbs up. Way up. December 19, 2010

A:
About 2" long. I used only these hooks for my tube fishing and the hook fits about 1/4" behind the back of the tube where the tail starts. Great hook sets and glides thru weeds nice. Easy to change color tubes without having to retie. I go thru about 15 to 20 a season and switch from 1/4 to 3/8oz as water and fishing depth demand.

A:
From eye to bend, about 2-1/4 inches, comparable to a 1/0 worm hook but with a wider gap.
