Rated 5 out of 5Â by Stripermaniac The Perfect Live Bait Hook
I discovered this hook after chartering an inshore guide in Sarasota, Florida. I was immediately impressed with the extreme sharpness of the hook and the high hook up percentage.
The non-offset design ensures a solid hook set in the corner of the fish's mouth if set properly. The light wire is remarkably strong, yet thin enough to pierce a small shrimp without creating a large hole for the barb to slide out of.
I prefer the 1/0 size for inshore species such as redfish, permit, seatrout, and pompano.
When the fish takes the bait resist the urge to snap your wrist and allow the line to tighten before applying full pressure. It is different than "J-hooks" but once you get used to these hooks you will surely be sold.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Tuninho What a strong hook
Fresh water fishing in Peruibe, Sao Paulo, Brazil, tried a 1/0 mutu light circle type and 20 lb fluorocarbon line. After 1:15h fight, landed a 26Kg Pacu whose sharp teeth did not touch the line. The hook set immediately on its mouth side protecting the line and letting me release the"boeing"withough wounds. Very efficient and strong. Best value for the money. Amazing...
