  • Fine wire forged shank
  • Perfect for any finesse technique
  • Super needle point
Ideal for rigging small live baits, nose-hooking soft plastics and wacky wormin', Owner's Mosquito Hooks are fast becoming a favorite for anglers using down shot techniques for bass, walleye and panfish. The self-setting Mosquito Hooks also excel in windy conditions and turbulent water where it's difficult to keep a tight line. Features a black chrome finish and fine-wire forged shank with offset super needle point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GOOD HOOK THESE ARE VERY GOOD FOR LAKE MICHIGAN PERCH FISHING October 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth every penny Mosquito hooks by Owner are incredible. Worth there weight in Gold. Super strong and sharp. Black chrome are exceptional. The red hooks are a little weaker. We run 30lb breaded line and with owner hooks our lost rate has dropped considerable. So you guys buy the red ones and leave the Black Chrome for me. Good luck July 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Hook I use these hooks for saltwater rock fishing. They handle pretty much any size fish. They are strong and durable. Only issue I have ever had with them is they bend when I hang them good on a rock/coral, but then again what wouldn't? Bottom line, these are a great hook! January 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Mosquito hooks Another top quality hook by Owner. Very sharp points and great design make these very effective. They are great for drop shot fishing. July 26, 2012

A:
No, I set the hook not matter what type of hook I use. I do not loose my fish. Circle hooks do not "need" to be set, but doesn't hurt if you do.

I found there really no need for a serious hook set, just lift and reel

Of course not. But, I have lost considerably fewer fish with this hook compared to the Gamakatsu's. They're almost too easy to use, and these are the only hooks I'll use for dropshotting.

A:
YES set the hook. I use them for drop shotting and set the hook immediatly and swiftly. If the weights above the hook apply a steady pressure type hook set not a quick jerking type one.
