Light and sharp I am true believer in the size 1. Big or small fish, even the hooks stayed sharp and used over and over again. I am always using the size 1 and have no problems in handling 5-6 pounders. They excels in open water situation where the Trokar size 1 are too visible. However, the Trokar are very sharp and are better in the vegetation cover when you can't really feel the bites. Without over stating it, the vegetation will set the hook for you. Back to the Owner, sharp, strong and solid hooks. Size 1 is my go to size. September 4, 2012
Best drop shot hook Ive tried several different brands of drop shot hooks. The Owner brand seem to be a little tougher and sharper-they dont seem to dull the tip when you get a snag. The little offset at the eye also helps the hook stick out from the line a little better than a hook without this feature. They also have the extra bend in the curve of the hook that they claim helps to hold the plastic worm in its correct spot. Seemsthat it does work as they say it should. Its the only drop shot hook I buy now. April 16, 2012
Too light, they break I have used these hooks a lot over the last 12 months and he seems to break and bend too much. I have had 3lb LMB straighten them out just enough to get off. Not good in a tournament situation. Also they tend to bend when you get snagged. August 22, 2011
Great Drop Shot Hook Best I've found for drop shot rigs when exposed hooks are not an option. Light wire and needle point allow them to penitrate easily. June 7, 2010
