Outdoor Edge SwingBlaze SwingBlade Drop Point Skinner/Big Game Gutting Knife
best knife i have used in a long time
after putting it off for 2 years i decided to buy a swing blaze. tried it out on 3 deer black powder season and it worked better then expected. zipped open those deer faster then anything i have ever used and the drop point stayed sharp after cleaning, skinning, and quartering all 3 deer.

Great Knife Great Price
I purchased this knife last season and I have used it to gut/skin 3 animals so far. It is just as sharp today as the day it showed up. The gutting blade is safer and works better than a skinning blade or gut hook...it is virtually impossible to puncture the stomach if used properly. Seems to be a good quality knife for the lower price. I look forward to using it this season.

One of the first things I look for in my outdoor gear is where it's made. When I first saw this knife on the shelf, USA was stamped on the blade so it went on my wish list. Mine arrived yesterday in the mail but Outdoor Edge apparently moved their mfr ops to China. Disappointed, especially since the cost doesn't reflect OE's move east.
OK, that said, fit and finish is good, good ergs on non-slip handle, action is smooth, lock is positive and the edges are sharp. Holds good edge. This is a well designed knife that does an excellent job opening the deer cleanly and safely, works as advertised but in the future, and this is a personal decision, I'll stick with Buck on principle alone. Really good product, am just disappointed that it's not made in USA.

the swing blade leaves less hair on the meat than any other knife i have ever used in 40 years of field dressing big game.
