When you are talking about the quality of knives, it is hard to beat Outdoor Edge Products. I added this knife to my Kodi-pac a while back and it is the best blade for opening up any type of game hands down.
I know people look at the price of this blade and second guess themselves if they need it or not. I have had my Kodi-pac since 2003 and this blade since they were brand new. You will only buy this blade once. It is well worth the price, you are buying high end quality.
I prefer the standard swing blade over the folding swingblade simply because I prefer that the blades on the standard swingblade are one long solid piece of steel and wont flex or bend. Personal preference I guess, but you will love yourself for getting this blade. animals just tend to jump out of their skin when you are using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 A must for every Big Game Hunter
This is the most versatile knife I have. No matter how thick the hide and fur is, this knife will glide threw in a matter of seconds. I have gutted and skinned 2 moose & 4 deer and it is as sharp as the first time I bought it.

used this last week to cut up a couple deer with no problems. The knife is a little pricy but works well. even wet the handle is tacky enough to keep it from slipping and the skinning blade works wonders

The gutting blade is by far the best blade I have ever used for that job. It works effortlessly and without any of the problems and hassles of a gut hook or conventional knife. The rounded tip prevents you from cutting too deeply. Then with the simple push of a button, you have a regular skinning type blade available to finish the job. Outdoor edge hit a homerun with this one!!
