I've watched several videos and read a bunch of field dressing/game processing techniques and this one rates right up there among the best. While the processing is 'basically' the same as others done by meat processors (a deer is put together pretty much the same way in Minnesota as in Pennsylvania or Texas), each processor has his own certain techniques on getting the job done and there's always something new to learn and each processor adopts what works best for them.
As for field dressing, this one is a little different than what I've typically seen and (using the Outdoor Edge knives, specifically the Swing Blade and caper) I will be adopting this method. It just makes more sense and looks considerably simpler. Now that said, you don't necessarily need the Swing Blade, but a good gut blade or say, a Wyoming knife, are good alternatives.
If I had to do it again, I would have purchased the whole dvd set as the information is excellent. While not a Francis Ford Coppola production, the sound and video quality is acceptable and very usable (even the dubs).

This DVD was well done.
The level of detail involved was incredible.
I will be changing my method of processing deer this year.
I will even be changing the way I field dress game.
I found this to be very informative.

Explains all the steps in field dressing a deer or elk, without damaging the mount or ruining the meat. Very detailed with lots of pointers to make it easier. What every hunter needs to know but TV is afraid to show. Will get the other video's in this series on processing meat and making jerky.

I had never processed a deer, always sent to processing plant. After this video I can compleatly process all the deer the way I want it. Very good camera shots and very very very detailed on meat parts and how to separate muscles. Also includes how to prepare for mounting
