I purchased this sling when I purchased a new rifle, very much to my satisfaction. It allows you to shorten and not interfere with shootimg rails and makes it easy for shoulder carry with the thumb hole lenghtening

Some of the places I really like to turkey hunt require a good 1/2 to 1 mile hike to get to. I used to pack all my decoys in with a backpack and just carry my gun. But after a while my Reminton 870 Super Mag turkey gun gets kinda heavy. I bought this sling to give my arms and hands a rest. It fit the bill perfectly. I don't really use the thumbhole for anything. The sling is easy to extend and cinch back up. The included swivels are of great tolerances. The machining is well done and the springs are stiff. They won't be popping off by accident. This sling will be on my shotgun for as long as I own it.

The picture only shows one swivel at the top. Are they on both sides? also are they screw in swivels or do you press one side to open it?
