Rated 5 out of 5 by Good for travel I picked up a 5 weight in this rod for a western trout trip. My primary rod is old, and I was afraid it would not hold up. In fact it did fail on the second day and I switched to this one. The flex of the rod is good for a variety of fishing conditions. The short pack length makes it very convenient to carry on a plane, or in a backpack. If treated well, it should provide years of good fishing. Quality of finish is good. I also have this rod in a 3 weight, and enjoy it equally well. Price has gone up about $100 since I purchased the 3 weight a few years ago. March 31, 2013

I caught from trout on 6 x tippet dry flies to Cast large flies for Dorado and figth hundred of them, even a 12 pound one. I love this rod! And I and i have more expensive ones Helios, and Sage, but I love FF. March 17, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't buy I received this rod as a retirement gift. Second time I used it the rod snapped. I now have one extra piece. Needs to come with additional ferrels so you can put it back together. Rod did not last long enough to determine whether it was otherwise a good product or not. September 3, 2012
