Built of machined 6061 aircraft bar stock with a sealed carbon/stainless-steel drag, it fishes like a much pricier reel. You get all the benefits of a large arbor, faster retrieve, less coiling, but at a more manageable size. Five sizes run the gamut of fly quarry. Large handle; positive drag click system.

Orvis Access Mid Arbor Fly Reel spare spools sold separately and can be found through item search for number 1791961
I have this real in various sizes on my 4wt, 6wt, and 8wt. They are great reels that house a "enclosed drag system" that never needs lubricating. Spare spools are affordable and easy to come by. Once again for the money these Access Reels bring a lot to the table.

Orvis does it again!
Being from VT, I always look into new Orvis gear as I've just started getting into Fly Fishing. The drag is superb and is sealed which is a big relief. The mid arbor design isn't over bulky like the large arbors but still picks up line quicker than others. Also, I never need to worry about backing, my 7-9 wt holds over 200 yards of backing.
Only negative thing I can think of is the handle, but the plastic/rubber composite material seems to be the norm nowadays.
