Loads well I must say that I once I received the Access 5wt 9ft 905-4 midflex from Orvis I never picked up my White River 270 rod again. What an upgrade. It casts really well, better shooting and accuracy. like the guy before, i also matched the rod with the Access mid arbor reel. You can't beat Orvis quality, warranty and their customer service with a 9ft stick. January 31, 2013
Rod Broke This was a really nice rod up to the point where it broke in half. My first time using the rod I was smallmouth fishing on the Potomac River and caught about a dozen nice ones when suddenly the rod broke during casting. I was really upset because I was really liking the rod a lot up to that point. It was casting really well. August 21, 2011
