Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent So Far I was a bit hesitant after reading the poor reviews but after using my old 2,000,000 candlepower spotlight and having to charge it before using since it would not hold a charge and the battery became useless when I left it charging continuously, I took a chance on this Nightblaster since it can be left plugged into AC without burning out the battery. It has an overload protection. First, I read the instructions carefully (important). It has been charging now for a few weeks and every few days I unplug it and then turn it on. The instructions state this should be done periodically. The light definitely lasts 20 - 25 minutes before dimming. As I stated above I can not see purchasing a spotlight, charging it, putting it on a shelf and when you go to use it you have to charge it aqain. Impractical. January 16, 2009

Rated 2 out of 5 by Battery a weak spot Battery dead after winter storage. Would not take charge. Works great on cig. lighter plug however. Had to pay $20 to replace battery. July 18, 2007
Rated 1 out of 5 by 10 Minutes Use While this product has a 3 year warrantee, it is VERY high mantenance: 1. Use can only use it for 10 minutes between charges, 2. You can't charge it for more than 6 hours. 3. You must always keep it fully charged. 4. If you drain the battery - you're dead. 5. The battery carries no warrantee. 6. I can't see it lasting more than 6 months. 7. I'm taking it back to Bass Pro. January 26, 2007

A:
The lamp will carry 20-25 minutes of steady burn time. The best indicator to recharge will be when the lamp is fairly dim or has been unused for three or more months. Do not use the lamp until it goes completely out.
