Does the SLR-20L Cast

Details:
I have the SLR-29L Model and I can't find a cast control brake knob and the lever doesn't seem to act as a break system for its positions before strike. Is this reel castable?

A:
This is not a casting reel. It is more designed as a vertical reel or a trolling reel. You can cast it, but it is not designed as a casting reel. You are correct though, as there is no braking system on this reel.

A:
The Solterra reel is a good casting reel. If casting distance is what you are looking for, I'd suggest the non levewind versions of this reel. Something in the 10CS or 15CS should do you well.
