Rated 5 out of 5 by TRAVEL SPINNING OUTFIT I go to the Bahamas about 3 to 4 times a year and usually do off shore fishing. This time we wanted to do some bone fishing. I don't do fly fishing so I wanted a quality spinning outfit that was portable. I did some research and Bass Pros had the equipment I was looking for. I ordered it and it came in about one week in good condition. I took it to the Bahamas used it and caught my first bone fish. I would reccommend the Okuma outfit highly. October 1, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by nice fishing outfit This is a great travel package that is easy to stow so you're never far from your fishing rod. appears to be quality product. Only negative comment is the rod pieces are difficult to put together. I had to use emory cloth to sand down a few so they would go together. July 21, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Like this combo a lot I bought this combo for myself to use during downtime on business trips. I have fished it once so far and landed several fish the first time out, including a nice largemouth. So maybe the factory builds in a little luck, who knows? I can say that it is a well built rod with a good crisp feel and a nice smooth reel. It is much easier to transport than my other two piece spin rods. I usually fly fish so multi-piece rods don't bother me. Also, be sure to wax the ferrules on this rod and you'll be much happier than if you don't or you forget. May 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Quality, Easy Purchase Bought this as a gift for one of my sons. After receiving it and checking the quality of, I ordered a second for another son. I saltwater fish nearshore and offshore and looking at this rod and reel, the rod has a nice firm action and response and the reel is good quality and is smooth. The case is good quality as well. I may end up ordering one for me also. After looking at other reviews, I agree that some lubricant, silocone, needs to be applied to the connection points of the rod. other than that, a good quality product compared to many others. Highly recommend it. July 27, 2011
