There are times and there are places where using an IGFA line isn't all that important—because getting the fish to the boat is the only thing that really matters. That's when you load your reel with Offshore Angler™ Tight Line™ superior-grade monofilament. Ultra-low stretch, small diameter, and amazing abrasion resistance take this line's performance far beyond that of regular monofilaments. Try it, and we predict you'll soon find yourself casting into nastier holding places—because for the first time, you know you can get the fish out. Besides, let's face it: snook and grouper don't fight fair, so why should you? It's time to take off the kid gloves—spool up with Tight Line!
“Since recently spooling up my 30# reels with the 30# Offshore Angler Hi-Vis Tightline here in Costa Rica on my charter boat “Bushwacker” I have caught lots of sailfish and 4 blue marlin so far. We fought the blue marlin from 30 minutes to 2 hours and 40 minutes with up to full drag for much of the fight and the line was not even scuffed. That is pretty impressive.”
Good fishing line
This is a good general purpose fishing line. However I think the price can be a bit less. I found a similar line at Atlantic and Gulf for a lot less.

a big surprise
I bought a Abu baitcaster off ebay. It came with some pretty nice casting yellow line. So nice, in fact, that I took a chance to email the seller about the line - if he had any details.
turns out it's his favorites for his CA bass fishing and has it on all his reels. I got the info, ordered my own spool, and immediately have it on 3 reels already.
Will be ordering different line weights and putting it on a lot more reels in the future, that's for sure. Makes sense that a saltwater line would be an easy outperformer in freshwater...but I just never thought about it before this.
I've been a "trilene guy" for most of 4 decades....but this is a really nice line and a super value.
this line knots well, has almost zero memory, really does lay on the spool nice, and seems pretty tough dragging it thru rock or around bridge pilings.

I found the line to low stretch and good abrasion resistance. The price is also a bonus. It is a little wirey, but all tough ines are.

I have it on 2 baitcasters and one spinning so far. Seems to work pretty well on the spinning reel, although....to be fair, I need to order a smaller line diameter for the spinning reel, then it would work even better.
