Offshore Angler Tight Line - 1/2 lb. Spools
Very Good Value
I purchased this line in 50lbs. test for the second time to spool my three Penn GLD 50's. I respool every other year and was skeptical about the quality due to the price but figured I give it a try. With two seasons of trolling and several bluefin tuna up to 180lbs. I have never had a break off. The only draw back is that my reels hold 600yds. and the half pound spools only have 550 yds./50lbs.test. Although, for the price and, to my surprise, the durability, I'm not worried about being 50yds. shy of a full spool.

Can't Beat It
I have been using this line for over 8 years now and have been more than satisfied with it's quality and performance. I have to admit that intially I just tried it for the price however after one season I was sold on it. I have landed several Big Reds along with some good sized sharks on the 20lbs test off the beaches of the Outer Banks. The castability of this line should not come into question as I have read on some of the other reviews. I am consistently throwing 8 and a bait out of sight!

We use this line at the lake and performed like it states. The line we got was the yellow one, and you can really see the line where it lands, plus keeps others from crossing your line. The weight is just what I was looking for, as the fish are largemouth bass and large catfish. Cast is smooth with no backlash, plus it withstands getting caught in debris underwater without breaking! Overall a great line!

Good for the price
I must say I'm usually a line snob only spooling up with high dollar lines. With hard times on us I decided to try out some of this line from Offshore Angler That was very reasonably priced. Well several spools and fish later I'm sold. I've Landed just as many yellowtail, dorado, and tuna with this stuf thatn with the high dollar stuff. Sometimes I wind on some flouro if it's sunny because the diameter is a bit thicker.
