I muscle in everything from 30 inch snapper to 5 foot sharks with sea lion offshore rods. Nothing better for the price. Even caught a stingray that could of covered the hood of my car!

Cannot do better for a general-purpose rod. I have three - all have 25 or 30 lb line on them. Have caught fish (all salt-water) from 1/2 lb to 35 lbs. Never a grunt from anything but the fisherman! These rods have performed much better than ever could have been expected. Better than friends' rods costing five times as much! Day in, day out, just sturdy fish-catching rods. What else do you want them to do?!?! Enough said.

I used this for saltwater fishing and it performed well the first year I used it. I always washed it down with freshwater after use. I pulled my rods out in the spring and this was the only one I've ever had in my life that started to rust around the eyes. I was disappointed but continued to use it. However during it's third use this year the bottom eye broke off from the rust. Now that it has come off I can see that the eyes are basically just saudered on.
