Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent!! Gave this fishing rod/reel as a gift to my husband for Christmas....HE LOVES IT!!! Good construction and great product.....highly recommend. December 30, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by Handle Nice reel, can not say the same for the rod. The handle is way too big, unless your Andre the giant. When I returned the combo to the store the clerk said all salt water rods are big like this. Ah the joy of a 63 year old man attempting to communicate with a 20 year old Einstein. July 15, 2010

You should be fine for mahi and king, but wahoo are fast and will burn all the line off that reel with no problem. Better off with a conventional like a shimano tld 25 for the wahoos

Durability

Details:
I'm lookin' to wear out some red snapper, ling (cobia), and bonito. I was wondering if the rod was strong enough and the reel durable enough to put up to all the tackle bustin' action dealt by these fish.
