This is a great rod for medium sized fish.
It tapers to pretty narrow on the end but is
amazingly strong and quite stiff.
Accomodates 30lb to 50lb test so it can deal
with pretty large fish,
It is perfect for the large bluefish and striped
bass we catch along the Jersey Shore.
I am waiting to use it on tuna too when I get a chance.
Only deducted 1 star because the collar that holds
the reel onto the rod is metal on the outside but plastic inside.
Maybe this was done purposely to cushion the reel
from the stainless steel.
I dont know.

This rod was made to work. It isn't all frilly for cosmetic beauty but it has everything you need to get the job done. Works as well as many rods over twice the price/
