Our Ocean Master Surf Spinning Reel is a great all-around reel for a variety of heavy-duty spinning techniques, and is equally at home on a surf rod, tossing baits into a rip, or loaded with braid for sailfish. The 6-washer drag smoothly manages smokin' runs, while the anti-reverse bearing ensures seamless drag engagement. The manual bail trip picks the line up as crisp as can be, and the high-capacity spool is cold-forged, machined, and hard-anodized. Machined-aluminum handle features an ergonomic soft touch rubber knob. And with its incredibly smooth 11-bearing system, the Offshore Angler Ocean Master Surf Reel will easily become one of your favorites!

Pulled in a 30in and 36in striper, the reel looked like it was gonna break apart from the strength of the striped bass, it bent in ways I've never seen a reel bend before, my friends are all suggesting I get a new reel, and I would have to agree, maybe its a manufacturer issue, because I've bought two, the first one never reacted like this, but this second one seems to react in a weird way (bends and malformation)

The Reel was heavy and clunky a poor design. Really easy for the line to get wrapped under the spool. As soon as I held it I could tell it was a no go. Put it right back in the box for return.

Brought two last year (2010) because of the price for a suppose to be an all around "Reel".
I've been rigging up this reel since first use. The bail support arms was hitting that little black exstension when retreving line, which resulted in cutting it off. The line gets tangel under spool during cast at times. And during a catch the handle stop turning because the washer spacer for the handle screw was crumble inside, now trying to find a spacer.
