I have the UL and M versions of this rod and because I travel I have used them all over the World on numerous different species. Never let me down, great action, versatile and compact.
The best value for money punching well above it's price tag. I own equivalent rods by well known bradns that cost three times as much as these two rods did and my advise o anyone thinking of what to buy is get one (or all of these) great rods!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Graydunn Good value for the price
I bought this rod so that when taking weekend jaunts so I would always have a rod and reel along.
After using it on a trip to the Keys for permit it may just become an everyday rod.
The finish and guides are right up there with the more expensive brand names.

This is a very nice rod. I was skeptical about a 3 piece rod, but this one really worked great. I caught two nice blue fish on it and it performed perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mliberte Sensitive, strong, portable
I own three of those. Initially bought one on a whim in Colorado, used it for a year, and replaced the other rods I had with two more of those.
I travel a lot, and portability is a must for me. The tube has a triangular cross-section - a nice thought as it prevents it from rolling off the table every second.
I fish for walleye, n. pike and sometime bass. I had some lengthy arguments with pig-sized northern pikes up in Ontario, and these rods held beautifully. At the same time, fishing for walleyes with a small jighead is not a problem as the rod is sensitive enough to register even the slightest hit.
Even though this rod is sold as a salt-water rod, it works great for freshwater fishing.
Final note: the craftsmanship is superb, including the guides, the reel seat, etc. Even though it has three sections - you never notice it isn't a single-piece rod.
